Biokovo Nature Park is located in Dalmatia, on the coast of the Adriatic Sea in Croatia. It is a high mountain park that stretches from the sea to the highest peak of Biokovo, Saint George, at a height of 1,762 meters.

Biokovo Nature Park is known for its diverse flora and fauna, which changes with the change in altitude. At lower levels you can find various Mediterranean plants, while at higher levels you can find mountain grasslands and forests.

Biokovo is extremely important for Croatia not only because of its beauty, but also because of its importance in tourism and as a trademark of the environment. The mountain was declared a nature park in 1976, and is under state protection.
